My name is Gavin Mentz, and I am a third-year Geography major. In my free time, I enjoy playing the drums and swimming in the ocean. I chose the Jewish Studies minor because I want to strengthen my connection to the Jewish people, and because I believe it is important for Jewish youth to carry on the traditions that are associated with Judaism. As an American Jew, I am very much interested in the history and culture of Judaism, and the best way to learn is to apply yourself academically in this minor.
