Bio:
Professor Walker received her Ph.D. from University of California, Los Angeles in 1987. Her areas of specialization are documentary film, women and film, historiography, and the representation of catastrophic past events including the Holocaust. Some of her most recent publications include Documentary Testimonies: Global Archives of Suffering, edited with Bhaskar Sarkar, (Routledge, 2009), Trauma Cinema: Documenting Incest and the Holocaust, (University of California Press, 2005), Feminism and Documentary, edited with Diane Waldman, (University of Minnesota Press, 1999).
